FINANCIAL AID INFORMATION

LOANS AND GRANTS

To assist students in finding aid C’RU Institute is approved for, and participates in the following financial aid programs:


  • Federal PELL Grant: Does not require repayment (FPELL)
  • Federal Supplemental Education Opportunity Grant: Does not require repayment (FSEOG)
  • FDirect Stafford Loans – Subsidized: Must be repaid
  • FDirect Stafford Loans – Unsubsidized: Must be repaid
  • FDirect Plus Loans: Must be repaid


Financial aid can reduce the out-of-pocket costs that students (and families) pay for their education. Aid can include grants, which do not have to be repaid, and loans, which must be repaid in accordance to the individual loan program terms.

Financial Aid is available for those who qualify. We are also approved to process GI Bill® benefits for eligible students. Our Financial Aid team can help you review available funding options and understand the next steps.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

To be eligible for financial aid, you must:

  • Be admitted as a regular student
  • Be enrolled or accepted for enrollment in an eligible program on at least a part time basis
  • Be a citizen or an eligible non-citizen
  • Have a high school diploma (or its equivalent), a GED, or have demonstrated the ability-to-benefit
  • Not owe a refund on a FPELL Grant or FSEOG
  • Not be in default on a Perkins Loan or Stafford Loan/SLS/PLUS/Direct Loan at any school
  • Have a qualified financial need
  • Be making satisfactory progress (as defined by the school’s policy) in the course of study
  • Be registered for selective service (if a male born on or after January 1, 1960)Have signed a statement of educational purpose
  • Have signed a statement of updated information agreement to use any federal student aid received solely for educational purposes

APPLYING FOR AID

You can apply for financial aid. During your interview as a prospective student, we will then compute a needs analysis based on the amount of income or resources compared to the cost of education and travel expenses.


If you qualify, we will help you prepare the appropriate Financial Aid application. If you don’t receive financial aid or simply want to pay for your schooling without aid, our financial aid officer will develop a personalized payment program for you.

COMPLIANCE STATEMENT: The Federal Privacy Act of 1974 requires that students be notified that the disclosure of his/her social security number is mandatory. The social security number is used to verify students’ identities, to process the awarding of funds, the collection of funds, and the tracing of individuals who have borrowed funds from federal, state or private programs.
